Background

In the summer of 1999 and then again in early 2000, I visited the Baltics, Belarus and Russia. On my first trip, I wrote the travelogue my trip to Russia. More details on the second trip can be found at Baltics and beyond. Here, from both these trips, the best pictures can be browsed at leisure.
